The images must be taken by you, and submitted under your name for you to be considered in the competition. We want the credit to go to the photographers themselves.
No, anyone can enter. In fact, we like to encourage young photographers. However, people under the age of 16 should get consent from their parent or guardian to take part.
If you see an image that shouldn't be there, please click here. This will alert the judging panel and appropriate action will be taken.
If there is an issue then we'll take the image down until it gets resolved. No exceptions. Refer to the terms and conditions of entry.

Over the past 6 years, Walk a While has positively impacted the lives of indigenous youth in remote Australian communities. Ken Duncan heads a team of artists who help them learn about the diversity of the photographic industry and the opportunities it can offer. It has given these children an opportunity to experience life outside their own small communities that they may otherwise never have had the chance to see.
Hopefully they won't make it through the judging panel process but if you do see something upsetting then please let us know here.
The judging panel is selecting the images for inclusion in the book based on the following criteria:
The judging panel consists of Ken Duncan and a selection of the LUMIX Life Pro shooters.
The program originated in Australia and this year the project is about Australia. It is an opportunity for Australian LUMIX users to have their work showcased in a beautiful book, alongside renowned Australian Professional Photographers.
It is absolutely your decision. You provide the inspiration and the images; we'll provide the pages in the book. You could choose to capture a dramatic Australian landscape, your favourite native animal or plant or even your backyard BBQ in Aussie suburbia – it's up to you.
To ensure your images look their best and are able to be published if chosen for inclusion in 'Focus on Australia', please make sure that your images are captured with the maximum resolution and the minimum compression for your camera. See images below showing how to do this on your LUMIX. Please note that the size of the image you submit could dictate the size of the image that appears in the book if selected.
Stitched panoramas are also eligible but all images must be taken on LUMIX cameras. You may be asked to send the original images from the stitch for verification.
Some LUMIX cameras have the ability to shoot a RAW image as well as a JPEG. RAW images are better suited for commercial printing. If your image is selected for inclusion in the book we would like to use the RAW image if available.
If successful, you will be notified by email by 1 November, 2010.
Yes. As the name suggests, the 'LUMIX Life - Focus on Australia' project features images captured by LUMIX cameras.
A digital image captured by a LUMIX Camera contains meta-data that includes information about the model it was taken with.
You can submit as many entries as you want as long as the images are different. More than one entry may be selected for inclusion in the book.
The book will be on sale 1 November, 2010.
The book will be available in major book stores, selected photo stores and on the Ken Duncan website
