LUMIX Life Home LUMIX Life: Focus on AustraliaAbout LUMIX Life
Over the past three months, Australia's leading photographers accepted the mission of capturing the essence of Australia to include in a stunning photo book.
Our LUMIX Life 'Pro Shooters', including Ken Duncan, Peter Eastway, Bill Bachman, Leo Meier, Nick Rains, Frances Mocnik, Ted Grambeau, Hugh Brown and celebrity guest photographer Ray Martin, traveled across the country - from the remote corners of the Kymberly to the bustling city centers - to capture their vision of Australia. A collection of these images will be included in the book entitled 'LUMIX Life - Focus on Australia'.
During this time we also invited LUMIX users across the country to submit their images of Australia for the chance to be published alongside the Lumix Life Pro Shooters. While the deadline for entries has closed for this year, you can still check out the inspiring images that have captured the heart and soul of Australia.
After reviewing over 7,000 fantastic entries, Ken Duncan along with Panasonic Australia, are now delighted to announce the winners of 'LUMIX Life – Focus on Australia 2010'. These stunning and inspirational images will now be published alongside those of professionals in 'Focus on Australia', a book showcasing the best of Australian life. 'Focus on Australia' is a major pictorial coffee table book which will be available throughout the country in book stores and selected camera outlets from November 1, 2010.
It is being published in hardcover by Panographs Publishing, which is without doubt one of the most successful publishing companies in Australia. This 156 page publication will be an incredible documentation of life in Australia – one not to be missed.
Proceeds from the sale of the book will be used to help fund the Walk a While indigenous arts educational program which gives indigenous youth access to training and technology in the areas of photography, film and music, so they can tell their stories.
